Keep the context when the project changes hands.

A consulting project handoff carrying decisions and documents between teams

Protect the work between milestones

The next team starts by asking again.

A new consultant joins, the project lead rotates, or implementation begins. The reasons behind a decision are scattered across calls, messages, and draft decks.

Keep engagement discussions and working documents in a shared Room. Use Huddles to capture the decisions and unresolved questions the next person needs to continue.

Feedback arrives without its context.

Client comments, specialist advice, and internal reviews can pull a deliverable in different directions. Reconstructing what was agreed takes time away from delivery.

Review Focused Design Docs together and connect feedback to follow-up work. Invite the relevant client or specialist into the Room to resolve questions alongside the team.

Collaboration needs clear boundaries.

Client information needs deliberate handling, especially when contractors and external experts join an engagement. Reusing a method should not mean carrying over another client’s material.

Organize work by engagement, use scoped guest invitations, and agree which information belongs in each Room. Record the client’s rules for AI use and data sharing, review agent drafts before delivery, and remove client details before reusing methods on another engagement.

Catch scope changes before they become rework.

A new request can change the effort, deadline, or people needed to deliver. When that decision stays in a call or email, the team can keep working against an outdated brief.

Use a Focused Design Doc to record the agreed scope, acceptance criteria, and responsibilities. Review new requests in a Huddle with the relevant stakeholders, agree the effect on delivery, and update the plan before work proceeds.

Make progress visible to the client.

A completed presentation or prototype is only useful if it addresses the outcome the client agreed to fund.

Define what success looks like at the start and review evidence at each milestone. Keep client feedback and decisions with the working documents. For software engagements, connect the Room to GitHub to follow implementation, reviews, and checks alongside the plan.

Keep AI costs visible throughout the engagement.

AI can help with research, drafting, and implementation, but repeated work and model choices can consume the engagement’s AI budget.

Use the Spend view to review usage by Room, person, and model, and set Room and user quotas. Review that AI spend alongside the firm’s existing time and financial records when assessing delivery cost.

Make a handoff part of the work.

Ask an agent to help draft a handoff from the project context, then review the scope, decisions, dependencies, and open actions with the receiving team. Room and user quotas help you manage AI spend alongside the engagement budget.

Features

Try it on one engagement.

  1. Set the scope

Bring the brief, working documents, and delivery team into a Room. Agree the client outcome, acceptance criteria, and AI budget.

  2. Work together

Discuss decisions in Huddles, review scope changes with the relevant people, and check progress against the agreed milestones.

  3. Hand it over

Review the results against the client’s acceptance criteria. Agree ownership, support, and the next review with the team maintaining the work.
